Pros
Guaranteed hours paid instead of actual hours worked. (5 hours guaranteed paid per day for your route even if you only worked 4 hours.) You get more choice the more seniority you have. You can make up for hours you weren’t able to get at route pay by doing extra charter routes.
Kontras
Starting off you get the routes no one wants usually because the kids for that school can be rowdy. Seniority picks the schools they already know are good. May not get the hours you want to work if you are a new hire. Charter hours are inconsistent and are assigned by seniority so you may not get what you bid on.
