Pros
If you are lucky enough to make it out of Newry, you will be put up in company accommodation in some great locations worldwide and have daily expenses paid. This is taken into account, however, as you will receive a very low base salary. You have no decision on where you are sent and can be summoned back to Newry at any stage, with very little notice.
Kontras
The worst thing, by far, about working for FD are the people you will have to work with. There are some nice people that do work there, however, for the main part they are unfriendly, rude and extremely hard to work alongside on a daily basis. It is very much an "Irish" company so expect politics to be brought into the workplace by certain members of staff. When you start you will be made to pay for your own checks (criminal and credit). There is next to no training and you are very much thrown in at the deep end and expected to be up to speed quickly with FD's software, which is a nightmare to use. There is no formal training and people are either too busy to do it, or disinterested. Let there be no illusions, this is not a finance company and you will not be performing any sort of financial role. It provides IT services TO financial companies and you will end up doing IT support, database administration or other similar menial roles. The compensation is very low compared to market rates, especially for graduate and junior positions. You will be expected to put in hours beyond what is in your contract. You won't get thanked for this, never mind overtime. When negotiating salary they will low ball you with some silly figure - you can bump this up. Management are very disjointed from their staff. As someone else has said, there's very much a "them vs us" approach and they don't care about their employees or have any sympathy for anything going on in your personal life.
