Pros
Talented and hard working colleagues
Kontras
Following the acquisition of the UK entity by what appears to be a Finland-focused group, significant organisational changes were implemented.
During my time with the company, UK-based roles were largely reduced/made redundant, and there was a noticeable shift in focus away from the UK operation. Those made redundant were treated very poorly.
Most of the senior positions also appeared to be replaced/filled by employees from the Finnish parent organisation, further reinforcing the perception that strategic decision-making and leadership were becoming increasingly centralised outside the UK.
Many staff were concerned about their job security, and morale appeared to be at an all-time low. Concerns raised by employees were not always addressed satisfactorily, contributing to a decline in engagement and confidence in the organisation's direction.
In recent months, a number of UK employees have also chosen to resign of their own accord, seemingly driven by job dissatisfaction and ongoing uncertainty around future roles and job security. Overall, the working environment became increasingly unsettled, making it difficult for employees to feel confident about the future.
