Pros
Everyone is really nice, you get to meet a lot of people and get experience in the marketing/business world. If you're good at networking its a great place since hundreds of different businesses use our services. I've met several local company presidents just from working here. Its interesting to see what companies are working on, although you can't tell anyone about it. Also, you get lots of free food and sometimes leftover wine/beer.
Kontras
The president is cheap and doesn't see that actually compensating her workers fairly will lead to better service. She also refuses to hire enough staff. The culture is messed up because of her. There is a lot of gossip and talking about workers negatively behind their backs. Also many accusations of us doing our jobs improperly when other factors are to blame. Often you don't get the memo on something new happening because no one communicates with the Hostessing staff. They tend to hire only people they personally know, even if those people arent qualified. There is usually a much more relaxed tone in the office when the President is not in, since she is usually the cause. They dont invest in the business properly then freak out when we dont have anything needed to function properly. Planning is a disaster.
