Pros

The size of the agency was nice - not big, but enough to get some good work done. People, generally were nice. Office was dog-friendly when I worked there. Had some exciting clients. Unlimited PTO (but good luck taking a vacation without being contacted). Very good benefits.

Kontras

When I worked here, we were pitching lots of new business, so I worked CONSTANTLY. I was often asked to work weekends. Lots of nights being expected to stay very late. They try to sugarcoat it by providing beer and dinner, but that gets old so fast. If I managed to leave at a decent time, I was still working on pitch decks from home after commuting. There was no work-life balance, which is often typical of agencies, but still not ok long-term. I burned out, got a job in-house, work less and get paid more.

Pros

Nice people, pretty good benefits, “unlimited PTO”

Kontras

There's a lot of layoffs happening, and it feels like there’s a real disconnect between management and the rest of us. The reassurances we get often come off as pretty hollow. People do share good ideas for improvement, but they don’t seem to go anywhere. Plus, there's this weird culture of silence where no one feels comfortable talking about things, which just adds to the overall stress. Not the best place to be if you care about your mental health.
