Pros

Good medical benefits. Nice view of Elliott Bay.

Not much opportunity to grow or move up. Applying for another job in the company can get you branded as "disloyal" to your "team" and damage your career. (It happened to me, which is why I'm back at Microsoft now.) Weak manager ranks. You won't be working with the best and the brightest. Retired CEO had to return when his replacement was fired by the board of directors. F5 is not investing in infrastructure, software, facilities. A significant percentage of employees don't have university degrees.; you'll be working with trade school types. F5 technology is still on premises when everyone is moving to the cloud. Confused product portfolio and roadmap.

Pros

* I enjoyed the collaborative team culture. Everyone was supportive and willing to help each other. * The work-life balance was good, and the overall working environment was relatively low stress. * I had opportunities to work on large-scale enterprise products and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Kontras

* One area I felt could be improved was compensation growth. As my responsibilities and technical skills expanded, I was looking for opportunities that offered stronger career and compensation progression.

Organization seems to be influx about where they are heading. Makes it hard to create goals for the entire org and get proper direction.
