Pros
- Working alongside the knowledgeable consultants was a highlight of mine. Some thoroughly interesting projects and clients made each day interesting. - Pre COVID the company would spend a lot of money and effort on the company socials that were always appreciated - Funded training by the company was a great incentive to develop your skills
Kontras
- The PM team is made out of a mixed bunch. Some of the people are truly great. Unfortunately there is still a fair amount of ego, and at times people exaggerating about their workload to appear busy. The people that get on with their job can at times be unfairly micromanaged. I often attempted to keep a neutral stance to avoid having a criticism target on my back (which I frequently saw on others) - Lack of people/team management skills for some more senior members - I unfortunately saw a lot of skilled and talented people leave after not being recognised for their efforts - I would advise against an experienced PM to take this role. There is minimal/slow progression. If you’re a new PM, give it a go but leave once you’ve learnt what you can
