Pros
+ Salary and benefits are competitive for industry + The fact that they still offer a pension and a 401k is a competitive advantage + Strong safety culture + Highly professional environment
Kontras
+ Too many dinosaurs who refuse to change their thinking....even on a new state of the art campus. If you're not at your desk, then you're not working. If you work from home (if your supervisor even allows it), the "green light" better stay on or else you're not working. + Long-term employees just waiting for their pension + Lack of ethnic diversity at executive, mid level and even first line supervisor ranks is truly shocking for a fortune 100 company. I would implore young african american current and prospective employees to truly think about whether EM is the right fit for them. If you're a white male, ExxonMobil is your oyster. + An archaic & demoralizing rating/ranking system that contributes to a lack of innovation & collaboration and lends itself to implicit/unconscious bias (which leads to my third bullet above)
