Pros
Families and children are amazing; Professional training of Reggio Emilia-based planning and getting paid for those sessions attendance; Headquarters are supportive in assisting staff in the centres regardless of their roles.
Kontras
Centre building is new but of poor quality - frequent maintenance during work hours, causing disruptions to the room routine and physical risks to both children and staff Change of management team and frequent staff turnover - old management team was okay but left after last NQS rating, then a new management team took over, and now the centre faces issues like under ratio, mismanagement of health incidents (e.g. experiencing consecutive outbreaks of gastro between staff and children in two weeks time, putting children, families and all staff at risk), etc. Despite health department intervention, nobody seems to really care and staff are burnout. Permanent staff often ask for sick-leave and you always have to work with changing casuals in your room, making routine very difficult to handle. Too many workplace gossips between staff about each other Management expecting too much from staff given limited resources and planning time Hiring staff with mental issues, leading to arguments and causing stress to other staff in the workplace Unfair promotions as a staff retention tactic Change of your shifts on the day or at the last minute
