The products are very well thought out and executed to market. It shows in their dominance of some categories within the Outdoor and Travel markets. The leadership is constantly trying to operate at a higher level of performance for the betterment of not just the brand but also for the people who work for the brand. They may not always get it right (but who does?), yet they are always trying to improve and make things better. The leadership believes in people trying to balance their work and their life, so they are willing to be flexible while making sure that work is being done. The leadership is also good at listening to input and accepting to feedback. Possessing a high level of emotional intelligence is a trait at the executive level.

The challenges are what you will find in many other places to work; people having to work together to solve problems amongst personalities and business challenges. So there was not anything experienced that I wouldn't expect to find anywhere else.

Retail stores, employee discounts. Great store level employees. Wonderful customers.

Anything having to do with the corporate side of the company. The upper level management are completely useless, there is no help what so ever for the Retail stores. The direction for driving sales and helping both full time and part time staff is non existent. As for the marketing.. If I could give a negative score I would. The marketing department would not be worthy of a F-. There are no words to describe how inept the entire dept actually is. The upper management decided to close its Flagship store in Bellevue WA and in their infinite stupidity did not have a new one open before they closed the old one. What a wonderful way to keep the customers that have helped build Exofficio to what it is today. Way to go.... !
