Pros
Uncapped commissions, free food, and casual dress code. They make a great attempt to make the culture appear like a Bay Area start up with a "cool" looking office, game room, and modern kitchen.
Kontras
I was with CyberCoders for over 2 years and I would define them as the beautiful fiance who didn't show up to the altar. In the beginning they promise you the world so you want to reciprocate that by giving them your all. Low and behold 99% of the people there are only looking out for themselves, specifically the managers You will see the managers getting all chums with other recruiters, but only with the recruiters who are doing well and making them money. If you're not doing well, they could care less about you. They do a very good job at making it look like they care but trust me, you better make them money soon or else you might be the next one packing their desk up. Like I said, I was there for quite a while so I have seen many recruiters come and go (FYI the turnover rate is ridiculous, 75% or more. If you don't believe and ask the team around you how long they've been there. Chances are they will be brand new like you or 6 months or less.). If you're looking to be a recruiter, look elsewhere. At CyberCoders you will be on a draw, so the draw is like your pace car. Normally if you can't keep up, you'll like get fired right? In my case, I made sure I kept up but for some apparent reason they still let me go. So here's a little insight into my last days there. My draw was only ~$4000 (some recruiters had draws of $8000-$12000) and I always was high on my activity metrics (New clients, interviews, submissions, etc.) Management suddenly and unexpectedly says its time for me to pack my bags. Not because they were doing lay offs, (mind you they were hiring Joe Schmoe's every week to just fill seats). I am not sure the real reason why they let me go but it definitely wasn't because I wasn't performing. I honestly believe the managers just wanted to take my clients and be done with me. You might be thinking, "Ah they can't be a bad company, they keep hiring. So that has to be good right?". Think again, 2 reasons why they keep hiring: 1.) Most of the "entry-level" recruiters are too GREEN to realize that you are an unjust company 2.) FYI, they are public company now. The more seats filled, the better their stock does. Again, the higher-ups are only looking out for themselves. Looking at a lot of the reviews on here and most of the good reviews are by current employees who were probably incentivized to write a 5 star review. You "current employees" are fooling anyone. If you decide to start/continue your career at CyberCoders, don't say you weren't warned. VERY UNFAIR AND UNJUST COMPANY. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THEM TO MY WORST ENEMY.
