My position had a lot of interesting work that made the job fun and fulfilling. You learn a lot since the whole manufacturing process is complicated and learning the lingo is very unique to the industry. My supervisors were great to work with as well as my team. I learned a lot while working here and though for a short-time, really gained value from it. There are a lot of good people there who want to make a difference and see the company succeed. You also get 60% discounts on all products which is very nice for high-end brands like Oliver People and Ray-Bans. Health Insurance coverage was very nice as well as 401k benefits.

Depending who you work for, or what department you are in, you will have a very different work experience. IT department was recently all fired to move to contractors. Marketing was gutted as well and operations took a hit. Upper managers see employees as just pieces on a chess board and move around and remove pieces as needed. They don't really understand the impact or knowledge lost by firing people to save a few dollars. They tend to fire people, for short-term gains, but then when times are good, have to rush to re-hire people but they face learning curves and getting people onboarded to be productive. There is a lot of in-fighting between managers and hard to have things standarized because it will make someone look bad. They also can't agree on metrics and are always "massaged' to get better results which is just lying. IT systems are old and outdated which prevents the company from really utilizing the data they have.
