Pros
- Experience working with C-level executives, experienced customer analysts, and clinical leaders directly out of college - In-depth training with EMR software and project management skills - Competitive pay
Kontras
Epic's staffing model for project managers appears to be built on the philosophy of maximize output from current employees, then replace them with college graduates. Despite the pros listed above, Epic will continue to try and increase production from you incrementally all while hiding it behind corporate buzz terms like "growth", "opportunity", or "unique challenge". Likely more than other companies, your career trajectory at Epic depends on your manager (or team leader) who has some discretion on how many and what type of projects you're assigned to. Finally, the upper management's approach to COVID safety showed how their customer-first approach really comes at the sacrifice of employee satisfaction (at least in my case).
