Pros
- Flat organization structure, there's a lot of flexibility to try new technologies and ideas. In fact, new ideas are encouraged. - The people are great to work with and really down-to-earth, weekly team huddles were always a pleasure. - Innovation and technology is taken very seriously by management, there's a lot of encouragement to do product development. - Management handled COVID-19 as best they could, cuts were made strategically (around March) but reversed shortly after when the recovery started happening (August). Expanding on my prior point, the IT team was mostly protected from these cuts. I have friends at other companies complaining that they had to take a salary cut AND take on more work because co-workers got laid off even when the economy is picking back up. - Oakville location is great, the 401/403 commute is pretty good if you're living in the GTA and trying to maintain a work-life balance. - Very good scrum/agile methodology adaptation
Kontras
None come to mind, I left to go back to school which is something I've always wanted to do. If it wasn't for my personal ambition to further my education, I would have stayed.
