Pros
You will get to work on cutting-edge robotic products right in the heart of Toronto. The company has a very horizontal setup, so you will be able to get right into things early on, and make a real contribution. Co-workers are great, and start time is somewhat flexible. The owner and management are supportive and involved.
Kontras
There is no formal training, and no junior positions. You have to learn on the go. There doesn't seem to be a focused business plan. They go after whatever contracts come up. The focus on cutting-edge one-offs, rather than mass-producable products, limits profits, in my opinion. There is not much real mobility within the company because of the very horizontal structure. The owner has a somewhat abrasive way of getting criticism across if you're not used to it.
