Pros

Embry Health has an incredibly ambitious, exciting, and admirable mission with what it says it wants to accomplish in the healthcare industry. As far as diversity and inclusion, I've never worked for a company that employed a wider range of people from different cultures and backgrounds. My coworkers were some of the best I've had at any job.

Kontras

Despite the pros that I did experience with Embry Health, literally all of that was offset and then some by how toxic and horrible the leadership at the top is. Despite what the mission says, the way leadership acts does not reflect what they say they are here to accomplish. Compassion doesn't exist with that group. They aren't there to do it the right way and it becomes quickly clear they are there to cash in on COVID at the expense of their team members, patients, and community, no matter what. The amount of fear and toxicity created by the CEO and other top leaders in this company was horrific to witness to say the least, from seeing team members publicly threatened with being fired to being told that HR isn't "cutthroat" enough with how it deals with PEOPLE. Every competent, effective, and respected leader this company had was eventually driven out by the absolute and utter lack of leadership and vision from the CEO and Chief of Staff. I finally left when I actually felt too guilty for hiring people into that type of environment.

Pros

My fellow co-workers were amazing and some of the hardest workers I’ve ever met.

Kontras

The upper management was absolutely horrendous. The work environment and the pay was great while Embry was bringing in boat loads of money from the pandemic. They were spending money like I’ve never witnessed before. But as soon as the need for COVID tests and vaccines died down they started to panic. The CEO Raymond is completely incompetent when it comes to running a business and in my opinion he’s mentally unstable. He would frequently throw full blow tantrums and verbally berate employees. He would order employees to carry out tasks that violated local and state ordnances and laws. If anyone spoke up to advise him against his unethical and sometimes even illegal practices they would be terminated without notice. ( which is why their former head of HR is suing them) Upper management had no regard for state, local or federal regulations and they made a habit of regularly defaulting on contracts and agreements. I would be shocked if Embry wasn’t neck deep in lawsuits by now.
