Pros
- Occasionally, there are some great people, but 5-10% - 60%+ are just average people, nothing to write home about. Sone good with some bad. They love small talk here (personal pet peeve but whatever i guess its a pro) - I liked the old CEO, Upper management in accounting were real people and seemed nice, client-facing upper management are spoiled children, avoid.
Kontras
- There are extremally rude people at this company. I experienced immediate racism towards my manager by member of my team, saying they "couldn't understand him with his accent" and they questioned if he was intelligent enough to lead, despite my manager having more certifications than they will ever attain. - There is an "old guard" that is being "encouraged" out by upper management, which leads to gate keeping and difficult to detect (initially) resentment towards anyone they perceive to potentially replace them. Guys I was here for a cup of coffee, I said multiple times this was a pit stop, idk why many members of this company were so difficult to work with. - The accounting systems: Laughable, just a mess. Its your job to clean it up and find out who made it messy. The problem is the system is from the medieval ages and no one wants to tell you how to really use it. - Bad/no benefits - Parts of upper management's behavior was hilarious. Just a circus of incompetence. - Work life balance is more unique to each situation, the hours were typical for private staff accountant, but if you don't feel comfortably employed you take that feeling home with you. I felt like a needed member of the team for about 3 months of my year there.
