Pros

- great coworkers - ownership over client projects - exposure to a good variety of products

Kontras

- top-heavy organization - leadership lacks business acumen, especially has trouble with sourcing clients. there were some points in the last year or two where most of the team was not assigned to a project for 5-7 months at a time - leadership does not know how to appropriately scope projects. for some client projects, the workload considering the timeline and budget was extremely unreasonable and unfair to the consultants. - no clear career trajectory and growth. dangles the carrot when it comes to promotions/raises. no pay raises based on inflation either - they laid off the entire research team out of nowhere, while the research director/manager was vacationing in europe!

Pros

There is an unmatched work/life balance. The people on the team are smart and friendly. There is a lot of opportunity to grow and learn and carve a path.

Kontras

Our work is dependent on client needs and so there are busy and not-busy times. This means, you have opportunities to dig into your personal projects if you want, and you need to be able to take initiative.

Pros

- Great people to work with (most of the time) - Great stepping stone for people who are new to the field - Good work/life balance

Kontras

- Lack of transparency from upper management - Took forever for change to happen - Many of their stars were taken for granted, leading to fast turnover rate - Always kept on working with the same companies, which led to a lot of boring projects - Worked with poor contractors - Kept too many people who were unhealthy and underachieving in the company for too long; which diminishes morale - Promises of “bonuses” were basically none - Raises were rarely given; and were usually not given to people who were going above and beyond in their position. Supposedly, raises were given to those who have not yet been given a raise to match the market. This should not matter - raises should be given to those who have done excellent work. The lack of raises questions the revenue coming into the company.
