Pros
Lots of fun, unique energy throughout the office. Weekly "Fruity Tuesday" meets that treated you to some sort of food goodies Monthly company location event, sometimes onsite depending on workload at the time it could be a pizza party in the back warehouse or Angels Game. If you work on the creative side be prepared to have limited rules apply to you that the accounts side has to abide by....dress code, hours of operation, overall being allowed to have a happy outgoing environment. Alcohol is commonly drank in the late afternoon/evenings Very tech savvy company Owner is very generous at times in the form of perks or bonuses
Kontras
Where to start??? If you aren't one of the lucky "star bellied sneetches" or otherwise known as "one of the creative" and work on the accounts side don't expect rules to be implemented the same. You are a salaried employee so that means that if you aren't prepared to work from 8AM to at least 6:30PM then expect dirty looks and your eventual dismissal from the company. You won't be fired but your position will all of the sudden no longer be needed even though the work load is INSANE because they refuse to hire more staff. You work for an entry level salary but have an Executive's hours regardless of your actual work experience.....everyone is entry level. When you aren't at work you're still working if you work on the Accounts side....expect to have consultants/auditors calling you 7 days a week and at all hours of the day. Your hours are based on the fact that they work during the weekend too and unfortunately you support people that work in car dealerships all over the country. If you have kids or simply can't or won't work the crazy hours you are looked down upon. Staff has been known to relocate from other offices throughout the country only to quit because of unfair office politics and this is staff that wasn't entry level but rather the higher ups.
