Have patience to read this ...its a lengthy one Incompetent Management : C level execs do not seem to be inclined in driving the revenue . They seem to be content with whatever perks and bonuses execs get every year . Who cares lower level employees will work hard and get fired on day . 25 year old company and not even a billion in revenue . It is not even 700 mn . Look up on google it says it all .In the recent company wide meeting, ceo says in april 2023 revenue did not meet the expectations and guidance for next year is same as this year meaning no raises this year nor next year . Good luck to those who are working nights and weekends. CEO blames the macro economic conditions every time when asked about why revenue not going up . He would blame Russia Ukraine war and oil market for every failure . Convenience. Neighbors dog died still blame Russia for throwing the missile . No room for growth : Most people have titles of PD, VP, AVP , Director , Lead , Program Manager . Every 2nd or 3rd person has that title.People doing the actual work are small in number. There will be many directors on a project call , not sure why do you need so many managers/directors to run a project . Unlimited PTO : Do not get trapped by unlimited PTO . They don’t want to pay you for unused days when you leave . It’s not worth it at all . Any vacation you want to take is subject to approval. You won’t end up taking much due to work pressure else it will reduce your bonus . If you take much even for small things like doctor appointments, kids activities, some managers would reprimand you for taking time off to take care of your personal situations. Managers are being pressured by clients and in case there is delay in work , it gets escalated to execs who in turn screw managers and they will screw people who actually do their work . In short poor work culture and no work life balance . Bonus : It’s based on billable hours if you work in PS and if customer doesn’t have much billable work for you you may not even qualify for bonus for that quarter .Sometimes if you take too long to debug an issue you would be forced not to bill those hours as customer won’t pay for it . Same goes for any internal project meetings which are necessary to run a project . There will be times you will be without any customer project on hand . here will be times you will be without any customer project on hand . Layoff: This is the most terrible situation to happen . CEO doesn’t even acknowledge that there will be layoffs at any time . He wants to shield himself . Even the CEO was laid off in 2023 due to low revenue. Board fired him and he says in mutual interest I have decided to leave. Doesn't acknowledge his incompetence. Anytime your manager will call you and ask you to leave . HR didn’t even show any kind of empathy with the folks laid off recently . Just cold and rude . There is no human left in HR department anymore here . In recent layoffs , people were given just a month of severance regardless of the number of years you worked at the company . Have you ever heard of something like this ? I know a manager who served almost a decade and was fired and was given a month worth of severance and his wife was about to deliver a baby . Left with almost no income . Think about how a company can put their employee in such a terrible situation . Most inhumane behavior I have ever seen. Beware of Emily from HR. Its their sales guys who are not winning huge contracts from clients, yet people who are working hard are laid off. Timesheet : every hour you work has to be put in JIRA ticket and then goes on the time sheet too . So if you end up working multiple projects over the week , then you got to note down everyday and enter those at end of the week else if you fail/forget then you may yourself screw your bonus. Training :Lack of training given for their products . The only knowledgeable people are those who are working for 15-20 years at the company. They don’t provide any documentation nor they show any interest/put any effort to provide their knowledge. They want to keep their job secure . You will struggle to find the right documentation to do your task . If you made this far , I’d thank you . And yeah I hope you reconsider your offer in case there is one extended to you .
