8yThank you for your honest feedback, we always welcome all opinions and views on how we can do better.
In this case we have clearly failed your expectations with which we can only apologise that you felt you couldn’t raise these points with us while you were still with us. We always regret a consultant leaving us, and hope you will get in contact again so that we can share details of things that have changed since you were here.
We believe that we have clarity of purpose so that all staff, whether at Head Office or at client sites, have opportunities to add new skills and to progress.
We believe we offer highly competitive packages of salary and benefits, (the only deduction being PAYE tax which is required by UK law) but, of course, understand the natural human desire to increase earnings further, and if you have now done that, wish you well.
As to the management of IT projects, this is an area where we have had a lot of positive feedback about the value-add to clients from the input of senior Head Office staff who are masters of their fields, and whose time analysing & contributing to projects/requirements is typically non-billable. The business has a large IT practice, but also a smaller financial consulting arm dealing with accounts & financial process enhancement largely staffed by chartered accountants. Our former COO was a chartered accountant, rather than coming from an IT background, so perhaps you are being a little harsh expecting him to also be an expert in IT competencies which would not be required at his level.
We take any threatening behaviour very seriously and have a zero tolerance policy on such acts, it is regrettable that you have chosen this platform to inform us of this as if any employee reported such acts, the matter would have been addressed as a matter of priority.
As we pay all our consulting staff well above the UK average salary, we think that talk of ‘modern day slavery’ is a long way from the mark and risks trivialising a scourge of the 21st Century involving vulnerable people receiving far less than the minimum wage and being physically prevented from leaving their workplace or being intimidated into staying. We don’t believe this has ever happened to anyone in our company.
