Pros
Where to start! The people at Doddle are an incredibly adaptive bunch - there have been a number of strategy and product changes over the years, but I think that is a good thing; Doddle is not afraid to try out new ideas or to admit mistakes, as it all helps to figure out what they are great at! At the core of Doddle is a lot of folks with the determination and passion to improve the customer experience of click and collect. I was given a lot of flexibility at Doddle, the culture is one where you are treated as an adult. You are expected to contribute and "get the job done" but not micro-managed. I had 3 different managers whilst I was at Doddle, all very different, but all gave me the opportunity to work autonomously, but with support if I needed it and asked for it. This culture gives an opportunity for talented and hard-working people to really flourish, which I saw a lot. Talent is recognized and rewarded at Doddle.
Kontras
The major con for me was totally personal - Doddle HQ is in London and I live in Derby. Doddle had a Derby office that was closed in 2019, I stayed on based at home (pre-COVID, before it became the norm!) with occasional travel to London. I moved to a job closer to home, with a larger team more easily accessible, in a slightly different role, as it's what I needed, but this was nothing to do with any "cons" at Doddle. They were incredibly supportive and I've no doubt would have continued to be supportive in my career had I chosen to stay.
