Pros

Had some of the best people, moments, memories, and work of my life. Used to be literally the best place to work and ranked 5th in the world. Helped propel my career and thought I was going to be a DocuSign lifer.

Kontras

Turnover is crazy. Culture has changed. All budgets are cut. No stipends anymore. No holiday parties. 2 days required in office. New manager is insanely arrogant and micromanages. Manager tanked a large deal and client said he was horrible to work with and when I tired to save the deal they said they were 100% sure they were going with Docusign but the manager made it sound like they were the bad guy because they looked at other competition as their decision making process. They followed up a response to me that with they wished they worked with me in the whole process, but again, my manager went over my head and took over the deal and tanked it. I was #2 on my team and was put on a PIP that was cut short because it was his word vs mine, and ultimately cut. In the same timeframe 5 other colleagues in my org who have been there for years jumped ship. News to broke out a week later that a private equity firm is about to buy out Docusign. This is a sinking ship. What used to be. They’ve lost all their personality and everything that made them special. People don’t come first anymore.

Pros

Mostly nice people, dedicated to their specific roles.

Kontras

Lack of team cohesion among departments. Lots of communication and accountability breakdowns, siloed efforts. Immature processes and undeveloped operations. Unqualified and ineffective leadership: I was to be the Business Process Lead but mid-interview, the hiring manager told me they would instead place me in a very small sub-department reporting into Finance Business Transformation. It was never clear if this was meant to be temporary or permanent... I was successful in facilitating and contributing to a project that was 10+ years overdue at Docusign. The managing director I reported to was laid off so a more tenured employee took over as "manager" who had never been in charge of people and it showed. Despite my contributions, I was told how little they valued my work and efforts on a successful project. Definitely a level disparity as I have been Sr. Finance Manager twice and head of a global department reporting into VP level and up. It appeared that all this new "manager" wanted was a subservient cog to condescend, demotivate, and talk down to. Beyond ridiculous to squander my 15 years of corporate experience.
