Pros
This company really values its employees, more than anywhere I’ve worked before. They do a lot to make sure that people feel seen, heard, and very comfortable in their position. They instated an open-door policy that ensures that no matter what’s happening, someone is always there to listen to any worries or complaints you may have and they try to handle it as soon as possible. They’re very open to communication and that openness prevents any sort of drama from breaking out within the departments. It’s obviously a fairly intense job so there’s a lot of chances for things to get heated, but management’s high-quality communication skills ensure that everyone feels taken care of. The training is lengthy and thorough, and by the end of it I felt completely ready for whatever the job had to offer me. They ensure that nobody ever feels out of place or like they aren’t able handle what’s happening, which is important for a job as high-stakes as an EMT.
Kontras
Being an EMT is obviously not the most laid-back job, and if that’s what you’re looking for then Ambulnz may not be the best experience for you. If you’re looking to work hard and save people’s lives, then this is the right place to be.
