Pros

Great work environment and the leadership encourages autonomy and entrepreneurship. Management at Digium encourages open source contributing. The explicit focus on performance vs corporate B.S. is refreshing (not perfect but far far better than other places I worked). There is a high concentration of really smart engineers and the tenure is pretty long considering the age of the company. 401k match is instantly vested and there are stock options.

Kontras

Pay is fairly average. Some of the internal legacy systems could be scrapped in favor of cloud options, to let people focus on Digium's strengths and new business.

Pros

The employees that work here at Digium are some of the best people I've worked with. Open to new ideas, Respectful of one another and some of the smartest people I have met. I feel the management does an outstanding job of providing the needs of employees to grow and learn in new areas, as well as allow them to work outside their Primary job areas when they can. Digium has also shown to be quite flexible if the need arose to work from home or at different times if the need arose. I have even seen employees, when their job requirements allowed, work in other states. The HR Dept works hard to provide a comprehensive benefits package and is always bringing in experts to answer questions on Health insurance or retirement packages. Not to mention all the events such as Food Trucks, Ice Cream Trucks, Bring your Dog to work day, Cookouts, Kickball, and many other activities. Open door policy to the employees. Not just if you need to talk about something, but Quarterly meetings with real numbers on how the company is performing. My managers are always finding ways to provide opportunities for learning. Such as conferences, lunch & learn sessions, books, or roundtable discussions. There is always some way to further your knowledge here.

Kontras

The fitness room, though there is one, no one is going to use it. The old dusty treadmills and stair steppers are just in the way and don't function properly. I'm sure they would have done something about it if anyone actually asked, but it's a low priority, and about the only con I can think of.
