Pros

Nothing really since this company lacks basic fundamental things in IT company

Kontras

Title: Toxic Culture, Poor Leadership, and Zero Technical Direction I rarely write reviews, but my experience here has been disappointing enough to warn others. The company heavily favors management when it comes to bonuses, while the people actually doing the work are overlooked and underappreciated. There’s a clear disconnect between leadership and employees, and it shows in both morale and output. From a technical standpoint, the company struggles significantly. There are very few strong or reputable clients left, and many have walked away due to the company’s poor delivery standards and chaotic internal culture. Instead of addressing these issues, leadership seems more focused on internal politics than on building meaningful client relationships or improving capability. The Sydney office in particular has been shrinking steadily, which speaks volumes. Good people are leaving, and those who stay are often stuck navigating a highly political environment rather than focusing on productive work. Collaboration is minimal, and decision-making is driven more by favoritism than merit. The HR team is another weak point. There is a noticeable lack of genuine people skills and professionalism. Concerns raised by employees are often dismissed or handled poorly, which only adds to the frustration and lack of trust within the organization. Overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for growth, stability, or a healthy work culture. Significant changes would be needed at multiple levels before this becomes a place worth considering.

Pros

- DiUS was a great place to work, with a fantastic culture of genuine, down-to-earth engineers and management who want to do interesting work; - This has created a environment where curiosity is encouraged and people have an opportunity to work on genuine leading edge technologies or commercialisation of solutions with their start-up ventures. - There's a wealth of experience within the firm, including developing new technologies, how to apply it to specific business challenges, and the best ways to deploy them - The CFO role was a great way to see how new technologies are changing business and how to scale tech ventures properly; the successful growth and exit of Pactflow to Smartbear is a testament to the strategic rigour DiUS can deliver.

Kontras

- The pace of change can be fast - staff need to be comfortable with some ambiguity and pivoting when circumstances shift; - The business is exposed to the ups and downs of the tech cycle - which has obviously been a greater theme in Australia over the last few years. In some instances there were quieter periods where work was slower or rightsizing was needed. Management do their best to manage the impacts of this with transparency,

Pros

I've been working here at DiUS for over 7 years now, and can say that it has been my favourite place to work so far in my career. Even though there has been some hard times in the last few years, the people and managers that work here are very supportive. It's hard to find a company that really cares, and that's always been my experience at DiUS - everyone is very nice, people listen and care about what I have to say, everyone just wants to do a good job and make the clients happy. Management are pretty good at being transparent with what is happening in the market and how it impacts our clients and our work, and we have regular All Hands meetings where we can hear business and strategy updates, and ask questions. We have started working more in the client's office this year, up to 3 days a week if we have a team in Sydney. We also have the option to work from the shared sydney office, which has a good vibe, but sometimes you don't have a desk so need to plan when to work there. There has always been a strong focus on new tech, and it's all about AI now. We get a chance to upskill internally, and have a lot of new projects that use or build AI for clients, which is pretty cool.

Kontras

The social side has changed since covid, and it's harder for people to come together in the same place now as we are all spread out working with clients or at home. And we have so many new people that have joined the sydney team in the last year, it's hard to get to know them when we're all busy at clients. Sometimes the work we do with clients is more about helping them fill a skills gap instead of developing a product or solution. You need to be a self starter or you might get left behind - the company expects everyone to invest some personal time in learning and upskilling.
