Don't know if this is only for external/contractor roles but they won't spend on tools like IDEs and other services, and when they do it is at the client's expense, but still try to avoid it. Security policies are kinda invasive and developer-hostile, the "security" software is too naggy and the MDM solution is cumbersome. It tracks your application usage and online activity (they say they don't oversee this, and I trust them, but there's no way of knowing for sure)
