The company will push to pay you as little as possible and force you to sign a contract making it difficult to leave. I have seen the owner threaten to sue almost anyone who leaves the company. He is quick to hire young individuals new to the field, but you have little opportunity to grow and leaving the company on a good note is almost impossible. The owner takes pride in burning bridges and would rather spend money on the look of the company then invest in his top level talent.
