Pros
I love working at Daybreak. The shelter director is really nice and understanding, rather it is with the youth or staff she is available to hear any concerns that a person may have. The scheduling is very nice and flexible. The environment is relaxed and easy going. The youth can sometimes be a handful but given the situations it is understandable. This job is very low stress and overall wonderful. Majority of the staff is really nice and friendly. To really enjoy this job you must have a big heart and a listening ear.
Kontras
No real cons but when working in some areas of Daybreak be prepared to hear stories of kids, teens, and young adults who have had an unconventional life. Some stories are really heartbreaking and you have to hold it together for the youth.
