      Pros

      Great product, great engineering peers and great culture. From an engineering standpoint, this is a great place to be. It's gratifying to see the company grow at such a rapid clip. Execs have also demonstrated that they actually care for employee well-being as well as social causes while still focusing on keeping the business successful. Great job execs.

      Immature low level management is pervasive. While the execs have tried to bring transparency to career development, line management will impose their own requirements to be evasive. There's a lot of work and if you show initiative and progress, your natural expectations of being appreciated will be squashed. Very low diversity, even in engineering. Women tend to leave at a much faster clip.

      Thank you for sharing your candid feedback, and we're sorry that this is the culture you've experienced at Datadog as that's not what we strive for within our Engineering department. We're actively launching manager trainings across the company to help better arm our leaders with the tools to grow successful teams and individuals, and we believe these trainings will help to teach great leadership practices moving forward.       Datadog is a very toxic place especially if you’re in a non-tech role where you are deprioritized and uncared for. Talent acquisition has terrible, selfish leaders who only care about themselves and pushing their teams past their limits. Your colleagues will backstab you again and again to gain preferential treatment. The leaders encourage this type of behavior and get excited and make jokes about it. Additionally,I It is an environment riddled with sexism and racism — is it not 2026? NYC at that? The lack of resources and support compared to engineering is astounding. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Many of the good reviews are fake or are by people who perpetuate the toxic culture. The only good thing is the stock options. Stay far away from this place!
