The most noticeable attribute that sticks out to me about DataServ is that everyone cares! They care about each other, and they care about the direction of the company. It truly feels like a large family.
Just like anywhere, there can be stressful and demanding times when issues arise that affect customers, but those are the times that everyone comes together to correct those issues and get back up to speed. Those were the proudest moments for me. They also make up for demanding work with flexibility of work hours and some remote work opportunities.
The management team at DataServ is constantly looking ahead and has laid the groundwork to move their application to the latest technologies and design principles. I believe they are on the right track, and will grow significantly in the next few years.
I'd also like to thank DataServ for their support of my work and the invaluable experiences I attained.
Kontras
I had a very positive experience working at DataServ, so I don't have anything negative to say. But, I should point out something so that I feel I have given a complete review:
I just wish I could better hear the standup meeting when calling in. ;)

We enjoyed having you as part of our team and always like to keep the door open to work together again in the future! We installed a new phone system with our recent office remodel so we’re sure hearing and participating in our daily stand-ups is much easier now! Thanks for your contribution!

Pros
Management cares, and supports growth.
Fair compensation. Values employees and their work.
Long lasting company, with many long-term employees and clients: Strong relationships.
Many opportunities to be exposed to several popular technologies.
Kontras
Steep onboarding / training
Technical debt that can limit capabilities
Jeff Haller, the founder and CEO of DataServ, is the final word in micromanagement. Ultimately, my time here benefited me with a steady paycheck, the usual FTE benefits, and nothing else.
