Management has a history of not being the most forthcoming on serious issues. Two such examples both relate to their prized VA contract. First of all, employees that have been here a while will remember we were underpaid by in some cases as much as $2 an hour for over a year. Eventually the Wisc. Department of Labor stepped in and they were forced to issue back pay checks. We did get the money owed but there could have been a lot more transparency during the process. Second, this past summer due to shipments coming from a contaminated VA records facility many employees in at least two buildings were potentially exposed to dangerous levels of lead. Management initially told us the buildings were checked and found to be clean. Two months later we found out that lead was detected BUT only after a Hazmat team was spotted at the facility. The company did not offer to pay for medical exams as they claim the risk is minimal but we would be crazy to take their word.
