here’s the tip of the iceberg: you get rewarded for your excellence with... more work - basically “since you’re so good at it we’ll trust you with the next one even though you’re overwhelmed by everything else we’ve thrown to you, and your poorer performing colleague cannot be trusted so gets to rest now”. when you speak up about being unable to cope, you get “don’t complain there’s too much work, everyone else is also tired”. no room for opinions to be heard AT ALL, very top down TOXIC culture. management gets to do whatever they want with you. countless sexual harassment (verbal) by C level “leader” dismissed by colleagues because people are scared to offend him or they know speaking up won’t help so they say “he doesn’t mean it, he’s just awkward.”
