Pros
By far the best benefits around (paid vacation, sick leave, family sick leave, personal leave, and felxible schedules). They have a 403b matching program, paid insurance options - medical/dental/vision, flex spending accounts, tuition reimbursement, and one hour per week to use for a "wellness activity." Everyone is really friendly making the place feel like an extended family. The "agency," as it's called, has a wonderful reputation in the community. Competitive pay considering the depressed economy. Competent, approachable mid-management. Senior management is less approachable, but still very competent. Beautiful facilities and up-to-date technology, including electronic health records. Overall an EXCELLENT place to work. Room for promotion and transfers.
Kontras
Top-down management approach. Restricted pay increase with promotion. No pay raises for the past few years, and unavoidable benefits reductions as the economy continues to force state budget cuts.
