Major focus on hours worked instead of productivity in our department. Resists change and stifles creative thinking by sticking to old methods because “that’s how things have always been done”. Lack of organizational strategy resulting in chaotic projects and siloed teams. Job descriptions are thrown out the window and as people are encouraged to volunteer for tasks/responsibilities. Pay is very low comparatively and yearly increases are practically non-existent, even for top performers.
