Pros

Working from home is a massive perk

Kontras

Senior leadership do not value employees, their skills or their talents. Decisions are very top heavy. Poor maternity, bereavement and other policies. There is a toxic culture and bullying is rife but nobody on leadership cares.

- brilliant colleagues - salary above the sector - varied work, work from home or go to an office; at your own discretion - trusted by management to do your job

Kontras

- sometimes little to no planning for away days with the team, meaning if you have children or commitments you don’t have the time to get things sorted - a salesy approach to programmes which isn’t the right language for those we support - programme launches treated as a higher priority than outcomes

The internal colleagues are passionate and lovely to work with. There has been some amazing outcomes for young people and is truly a blessing to be part of it.

Mental health support is more of a token gesture, offering only an anonymous service rather than finding real ways to support employees or listen to their concerns. Employees frequently experience burnout without adequate care during difficult periods, and hiring practices are biased, with a preference for familiar candidates over a fair application process. Additionally, there is a significant lack of transparency, and employee feedback is frequently undervalued and ignored.
