After a change in management, the environment became isolating and discouraging. I was gradually excluded from collaboration and heavily micromanaged, which made me feel undervalued and unable to contribute meaningfully despite my experience and commitment. The lack of trust and support created constant stress and made the role feel unsustainable.
Turnover appeared very high for such a small company. With around 26 employees and multiple C-suite positions, the structure felt top-heavy and disconnected from the actual team. There were ongoing concerns about stability, and it often felt like the focus was simply surviving rather than building something long-term.
When I was laid off, I received no severance and no resources or support to help me transition or find new work. For a small company that often emphasized culture and care, this felt especially disappointing and honestly surprising.
