Pros
Some staff and members are nice, understanding and pleasant to work with. Building is pretty inside. Work life balance is exceptional minus special event weeks like the Congress convention where staff are worked to the bone for days on end for no overtime. That's literally it.
Kontras
Due to the structure and rotation of leadership at this organization, the vision for the organization is extremely inconsistent and staff end up paying the price. Leadership likes to act they recognize staff contributions with meaningless perks and minor bonuses, but the bevy of structural issues are never addressed so the employee experience remains bad. There is close to zero communication from leadership to staff (unless your manager is nice enough to keep you in the loop) - half of intel seems to come from gossip between departments which is a terrible system. Leadership claims to care about staff concerns by holding audits and similar programs but nothing changes. Morale is low and there's no formal team-building, the closest thing you'll get to that is commiseration about how inefficient and annoying things can be. Pay is terrible despite leadership repeatedly being told it's a huge problem and hurts morale. Benefits are nothing to write home about and management is stubbornly resistant to expanding work from home options despite prevailing workplace trends/common sense or kindness. HR is basically just there - no training, no encouragement or opportunities for growth. There are some extremely poorly managed and hard to work with departments whose issues are never really addressed; you have to work around them which is really inefficient. So if you wanna just park here and do bare minimum work for a paycheck you'll probably be fine. There's a surprising number of "lifers" but some of them do not treat new staff with respect because they've become accustomed to a certain jocular interaction due to their tenure.
