Pros

Since I filled in some pros right before I got RIFd late in 2023, I will let current employees fill out this section. Some fantastic people do still work at Cyara, but as constant layoffs continue, that number is dwindling quickly...

As I mentioned above, starting last summer, constant layoffs are the only consistency at Cyara these days. Sadly, for many of us who were RIFd, Cyara's lack of HR has made it even worse. My local unemployment office recently told me that Cyara informed them that I quit and was not RIFd, making me ineligible for unemployment. I've subsequently learned that this seems to be the normal process now, as at least four other people have experienced the same thing in the last month. It is illegal for me to give incorrect information to the unemployment office, and I assume it's also illegal for my former employer to lie. Maybe it's time to consider banding together with some lawyers... The bottom line is that Cyara used to be a great company. It is no longer. I would think long and hard before joining the company as it is now.

With his departure, K1 management is losing a leader who delivered real transformation and set a durable foundation for the next phase of growth. That loss will be felt, and the standard he established will be difficult to replace.
