Pros
I started Crosspoint as an assistant property manager and was a Portfolio Director when I left 15 years later. The flexibility Crosspoint offers allowed me to do both property management and leasing which is not something you can find in very many real estate firms. The principals have an open door policy and are really invested in helping you develop your skills and pursue what interests you. Direct client contact from the very beginning made me feel like my job was important and I was valued from the day I started. The clients Crosspoint works with are fantastic. You have a mix of individual owners as well as national REIT's. Its a great balance because you get exposure to working with the requirements of different types of owners. However, what really kept me working for the same company for 15 years was the people. While I might not have always liked every aspect of my job, I really enjoyed the people I got to work with. I think it says a lot when your co-workers also become your friends and people you can rely on.
Kontras
Crosspoint is not a large firm and if you are someone who thrives in a corporate culture, it might not be the place for you. I personally enjoyed getting the opportunity to be a bigger fish in a smaller pond. It allowed me to feel like my contribution mattered and was being heard by the people in charge.
