Pros

- great teamwork, company values, benefits - advancement and growth opportunities are based on merit and quality of work not on time served - self motivated people can readily grow into new positions and/or divisions - passionate staff that will engage in genuine conversation and feedback - interesting work that ranges from education to library services - good work from home policy after you prove yourself trustworthy

Kontras

- some departments are isolated by either geography or team interactions - not all departments have found ways to break out of repetitive routines or legacy processes - remote employees have a harder time garnering advancement and must take extra steps to prove themselves

Pros

Helpful colleagues and leadership work from home freedom High value of employees and catering to their strengths

Kontras

Growth could be limiting as it wasn't a huge company, but that is a reflection of the size of the organization

Pros

The benefits are great, and I love the culture. Very family friendly, and good opportunities for advancement if you show initiative and work hard. Because Credo is friendly to remote employees, I can work in an industry that essentially doesn't exist in my city or state. I have a great relationship with my boss and CEO - I feel that I have been given the room and trust to experiment, learn from mistakes, and continue to grow in my role. I find the work is very rewarding, and even when it is hard, I mostly feel energized by the challenge.

Kontras

Not necessarily cons, but things to be aware of: small staff, so everyone has to pull their weight, plus more. A lot of meetings for my role, but they are typically short (one hour or less). As a remote employee, your communication skills have to be extremely strong. The work is fast paced, so you have to speak up in meetings, or you get left behind. Everyone has to buy in to the mission and task at hand, or it shows. Employees at Credo who do best tend to have a mixture of skills: you have to be creative, innovative, but also process driven and detail oriented, which can be a challenge for some people.
