This was really one of the best places to work. Fantastic close knit "family" of a team, everyone truly cares about everyone's well being. There are crazy once in a lifetime opportunities constantly available. The pace is extreme and there is the ability to get 5 years worth of experience in about a year designing a HUGE variety of products. The CAD that is done here is some of the best in the world.

The pace is extreme, so multitasking and personal prioritization are important personal traits. Self starters can thrive here but someone who needs clear direction might struggle, especially if they aren't consistently asking for clarity. Projects are often murky and self contradicting, someone who just does what they are told will not perform well here. Like most small companies there is no room to "phone it in", meaning everyone has to be working consistently and at a high level.

I can't say enough great things about the company and the team at Creative Engineering. The team is intelligent, friendly, and honest. It felt great to work with such a tight-knit team that was doing cool and different things on a daily basis. The transparency of the organization was refreshing, and that has a lot to do with the way the founder Paul Dowd runs the company. Creative Engineering was an awesome place to learn and grow as an employee and an engineer, and I give them the highest recommendation possible.

Because this is a relatively small consulting company, employees are asked to wear a lot of different hats on a daily basis so flexibility is important. I wouldn't recommend this company to someone who prefers to work in a silo, likes to do the same type of work consistently, or has trouble self-motivating.
