Pros

The team at C+A show real passion about their mission to reinvent recruitment and bring honesty and integrity to the hiring process. Really trying to do something different in the industry, and bringing back the emphasis on people. Start up clients are super interesting and great to work with, lots of interesting projects which means there's constant variety day to day. I'm always learning in such a stimulating environment. Great to be a part of something that has such potential for positive impact.

A high performance culture where change is welcomed. The fast pace of a start up is not for everyone - but I love the buzz and excitement.

Pros

At Canda, every individual is equally contributing to the success of the business. They are all in it together, but it takes everyone to be at their best and continuously thrive to make Canda’s vision a reality. Lovely and fun people from such a varied background, as they are working with so many different startups they get a mix of cultures altogether which is incredibly interesting. Overall a bunch of very ambitious people trying to break something that has been the same for too long - comes with its challenges and joys. Proud culture enthusiasts - the positive feedback they get from their customers means it's really working! Pros - If you have the drive and ambition to work on something that genuinely needs shaking up, your entrepreneurial heart will have no limits - Every idea, every creative input is always supported, just do it - Strong mission + purpose driven business

Pros

The company and CEO genuinely had a great vision and that they tried to embed within the process and general focus of the team. There were some really great people on the team, some of whom I'm still friends with after leaving. The company tried to instil a team community approach through socials. The company aimed to provide you with tools to get going - e.g. laptop, LinkedIn subscription etc. Worked with some interesting clients

There was a clear lack of structure, which in a start-up company is quite normal but management didn't acknowledge this very well. I didn't have a proper onboarding process, which after experiencing a very structured one in another start-up, I've come to appreciate its importance for ensuring you start on the right foot. Working hours although said to be Remote/Flexi were quite hard, I would get messages via Slack over the weekend and well into the evening, and would often leave the office at 6/7 after having come in before 9 - which I wouldn't have minded if it was acknowledged but my direct superior was not very positive in their approach. Whilst I was willing to learn, I felt there was definite demoralisation, as I was expected to be an expert in all fields and given unreachable and unreasonable targets that as a new graduate I would be unable to meet on my own. I constantly felt like I was never doing anything right. Given the fast-paced nature and the lack of support from my superior, ultimately I left the company doubting whether I was right for the career path I studied for three years to be in. They had great values but often didn't align with them.
