A "Can Do" culture that is only as such when you don't ask questions. The execs preach a desire for feedback, but only when it is positive. Many managers are told that their questions or concerns need to be "filtered" through their district manager, despite the corporate team stating that this company has an "open-door policy". They have steadily cut hours for minimum wage associates citing company funds being in dire straights, but all public financial information states that the company is doing great (debts being paid ahead of time/$500mil+ funds available as of 12/31/20) and that several top level execs have received 3-10% pay increases while forcing their teams to struggle. The company refuses to invest in inventory to put on the shelves, causing severe anger and frustration for customers that is taken out on store associates who have zero control over what comes in their truck each week. Store teams feel undervalued, overworked, and defeated when taking the heat from customers for poor decisions made by the corporate team. It is also important to note that the leadership team attempted to cut health insurance during the onset of covid19.
