Pros
The people. Benefits are okay, but not as good as they used to be. For example, now I have to go to one of the national "chain" eye care clinics (think WalMart, ShopKo, etc.) because every independent local eye clinic doesn't take our insurance.
Kontras
No opportunity for advancement. EXTREMELY high turnover within the order filling deparment/outbound department (this is not the case in the inbound department). The starting pay is *not* competitive (and WAY too low - I believe a door greeter at WalMart probably has a higher starting wage). Management is afraid of confrontation - they would rather make a general statement regarding problem issues to the whole staff than to actually discipline problem employees face to face. This leads to lots of gossiping and animosity among staff.
