I worked at Confidence Connection for over two years and I loved it! I highly recommend this clinic if you are on the BCBA track or want to gain experience in ABA, Speech, or OT. For me, the best part about working at C.C. was the kids! Confidence Connection provides ABA, Speech, and OT services to kids all across the autism spectrum and ages. For a therapist, a typical day could consist of providing ABA services to a 3 year old, training a non-verbal child on their AAC device, being a 1:1 in a social group, and working with a high functioning middle schooler. I always felt like I was learning and being challenged because of my diverse caseload. Also, this exposure to various children helped me to identify my strengths and weaknesses as a clinician and to determine my future professional goals. Another benefit of working at C.C. is that all the therapists receive a TON of professional development! The director spends a lot of time and money on educating her staff and it helps tremendously! Within my two years at C.C., I attended ABAI, a Functional Analysis workshop given by Dr. Iwata, Orton-Gillingham training, Establishing Operations and Verbal Behavior training, and many more! In addition, the BCBAs, SLPs, and OTs at Confidence Connection are great! They all truly care about the future success of their kids! Furthermore, they're all very friendly, approachable, and willing to collaborate with therapists!
