Pros

Depending on the contract, it's an easy job. You learn how to say and to the same thing, over and over, without really needing to learn anything about the products you are supporting. It's an international workplace. There is always something nice about meeting people from all over the world. People who have been in the same training groups and/or are from the same country tend to stick together, which is how groups of friends are formed. If you're new to the city, you can easily get your social life from here. The wage is low, but then again, they hire everyone. Belfast is cheap to live in, you'll be comfortable enough. For a first job, or something temporary whilst you're working towards getting some real skills, it's decent.

The job is easy. When you figure out how to reach targets, you can just reach your targets without being challenged at all. You'll get bored, feel like a robot, and it doesn't matter whether you're good at what you do or not, as long as you reach the targets. The hire everyone, meaning your coworkers can be very incompetent. Training is awful. The trainers try their best, but don't have anything to go on. No one knows what they are doing when they get to the floor. Management is mostly incompetent. It seems like most never had any training, and it happens managers come from being an agent in other contracts, making sure they have no clue what they're doing. Communication is awful. No one knows who does what or how to get anything done. If things are happening, you won't hear about it. Concentrix is about as non-transparent as a company can get. There are procedures for everything. You need to log all you're doing, because that's part of the SLA. Most anything you do wrong will result in a written warning. It's almost impossible to get fired. You can be the worst at your job, and no one will care. Unless you're late. Being late is something they take very seriously. Unless the managers like you. Because management doesn't know what they're doing, favouritism is shown. New managers have to rely on experienced agents to get a hang of the job. Do not care about the job or the customers. Since you're not directly working for the company, you won't be able to get anything done. Care about reaching targets. That's all they care about, looking good in the statistics they can show. Open desk environment so you're around your coworkers all the time, no privacy, bad air-conditioning, terrible chairs, not enough workspaces for the amount of people working there. It's not a good job, it's usually quite an hostile environment to work in. Quitting was my favorite part. No one actually likes the job, and daydreaming about the future is a shared hobby of those on the floor. If you want to work within customer service, find something that goes directly through the company you're working for. Try to avoid Concentrix if possible.

Pros

A lot of great people with tremendous learning opportunities. My program is 24x7 so if willing to work nights and weekends, you can earn a higher rate of pay. Never boring and a lot to learn which works well for me!

Kontras

Things can be very fast paced. Some people feel overwhelmed because there is a lot to learn.

Decent Pay and benefits . Trainers prepare you for basic work

They have Team Leaders and product experts. Some Team leaders are great, my was not, I was supposed to be coached on a regular basis, for four months I received no coaching. My coach only got involved if something could negatively could affect their Stats. I asked for more training several times, the 2nd time I asked, she transferred me to her supervisor instead of answering my question. Products Experts were helpful but sometimes had completely different answers to the same question. There was this ongoing training that you could request to join. I stopped going when they repeatedly taught the opposite of some the companies Zero Tolerance policies. When i brought it up with their supervisor I never recieved a reply.
