Pros

The vacation and holiday package is generous. There are some genuinely hard-working, friendly people there who do the best they can with the tools and skills they've been given.

Kontras

There is no commitment to excellence. Standards are low, and senior management assumes that they have all of the answers, which they do, because they do not communicate or collaborate with their talented staff. Staff can make suggestions, but they're probably off-target and won't be implemented because they don' t have all of the information to make educated suggestions. So it's a vicious cycle.

Pros

During my time at the company (which was a little over 3 years), I found it relatively easy to earn a bi-weekly bonus. This job isn't for everybody, clearly - but since I'm not a career-driven person, it was a good fit for me. I came in, did my job, and left, giving no thought to the office until I returned after the weekend, which I think is the best way to approach this company. It's a job, not a career.

Kontras

A bit soul-sucking and very boring, tedious, repetitive work. The environment is cubicles with fluorescent lighting, and I found it very difficult to make connections- it doesn't seem like a unified team. Managers usually left me alone to do my work, but I know they didn't actually care about me (they were not aware that it was my last day, although I had related this information a month before and supplied written notice), and I hated the smug ranks of upper-management. It's my understanding that this company has downsized dramatically, cutting more than 3/4ths of their work force, and it was mainly a popularity contest when determining who would stay employed.
