- The idea of the mission - Most of the clinical staff was very sweet and caring

- Leadership was not compassionate and too far removed from the real mission and services. - No accountability for patient care errors or common courtesy - No customer service attitude was enforced with care partners - Support staff were unkind and moody - Clinical staff was sent into field without proper training - The Marketing and Clinincal teams were not encouraged to work as a team - it was a sneaky, deceptive attitude - No good coverage protocols for evenings and weekends - Too much of a "not my problem" attitude - Different programs were competitive rather teams on the same mission to help patients - and each program runs under different rules - Leaders had different agendas and most were not to serve the patients and families

Pros

Working at Compassus has been an incredible experience! The company truly values its employees and goes out of its way to ensure that everyone feels appreciated and supported. The work environment is collaborative and empowering, where ideas are not only welcomed but encouraged. Leadership is approachable, transparent, and genuinely cares about the professional growth of their team.

Kontras

Short staffing-while this is not a current issue it was very significant for a time. I was really impressed with how they handled this situation. Despite the challenge, management acted swiftly and effectively to address the situation. They communicated transparently with the team, redistributed tasks to ensure no one felt overwhelmed, and promptly brought in additional support. It was a great example of strong leadership and teamwork.

Pros

Amazing coworkers who truly cared about each other and the patients for whom we provided care. Compassus has a great philosophy in the idea of "Care for Who I Am," a truly patient-centered model. Competitive and even generous compensation, and great healthcare benefits.

Kontras

Poor corporate structure, wherein more and more leaders and marketers are hired but not more nurses or aides. Their "strategic partnerships" with hospital systems like Ascension and Bon Secours mean that Compassus leadership are not the only ones who can dictate your work, and whether or not you still have a job at the end of the day. Overall poor communication from leadership at a higher level. Middle management and clinical supervisors are wonderful.
