Kontras
When I eagerly joined CommerceIQ, enticed by their “unicorn” status and persistent recruitment efforts, I had high hopes for a fulfilling professional journey. However, my optimism quickly turned into disillusionment, and I feel compelled to share my honest perspective to help others navigate their career choices wisely. While there are some commendable individuals within the company, the overall environment at CommerceIQ is marked by instability. Questionable business decisions are made regularly, with the team bearing the brunt of the consequences. In retrospect, I regret not heeding the warning signs evident in Glassdoor reviews, as they accurately reflected the challenges I would face. Prospective employees should be aware that CommerceIQ's work culture is far from ideal, with an overwhelming workload and compensation that may not necessarily match the effort invested. Despite promises made during the recruitment process, one's voice is often ignored, creating a frustrating and disheartening work experience. The CEO's penchant for self-indulgence and narcissim further exacerbates the communication gap within the organization. The culture is especially discouraging. I advise anyone considering a position at CommerceIQ to exercise caution, seek insights from current or former employees through discreet channels, and be aware of the disconcerting exodus of talented individuals leaving the company in search of a more supportive and rewarding work environment—often without another job lined up. It’s that horrible. The company's tendency to resort to layoffs as a remedy for poor decision-making only adds to the anxiety and uncertainty. There is zero morale or sense of camaraderie to speak of. In my professional journey, I have encountered various workplaces with their own set of challenges, but CommerceIQ stands out as an unequivocal disappointment. Departing employees often express their frustration through platforms like Slack, echoing a sentiment of dissatisfaction that is hard to ignore. If you find yourself considering a role at CommerceIQ, I implore you to conduct thorough research and connect with current or former employees privately to gain a comprehensive understanding of the organizational landscape. This review is not born out of disgruntlement but is an earnest attempt to shed light on the reality of working at CommerceIQ. I hope my experience serves as a cautionary tale for those contemplating a career here. The long-term potential, unfortunately, just isn’t there. Choose your workplace wisely, and may your professional journey be one of growth and fulfillment—because, frankly, you won’t find it with CommerceIQ. Save yourself the trauma.
